Path of Exile 2 Expedition has become one of the most profitable farming strategies for players looking for reliable endgame income with relatively low investment. With the right Atlas setup, tablets, Waystones, and Remnant choices, experienced players can generate an impressive amount of POE2 Currency while spending very little to prepare each map. Recent farming sessions have shown that Expedition can potentially generate more than 50 Divines per hour for powerful characters, making it one of the strongest currency strategies currently available.

The biggest appeal of Expedition is its low entry cost. Unlike some endgame strategies that require expensive scarabs, specialized maps, or large amounts of preparation, the basic investment is relatively simple. Players mainly need their map, Expedition content, and Logbooks. In one extended farming session lasting roughly eight to nine hours, a player increased their Divine balance from around 325 to 562. Even when counting only raw Divine drops, the average income exceeded 25 Divines per hour. Additional profits from Chaos, Perfect Exalts, Perfect Chaos, gems, Expedition rewards, and valuable equipment pushed the estimated total income to around 50–60 Divines per hour.

However, Expedition farming has changed compared with earlier versions of the game. Olroth's Saga is no longer available through its previous guaranteed setup and can now appear randomly on Grand Expedition maps. This significantly lowers the maximum profit compared with the previous league, when extremely high returns were possible. Even so, Expedition remains an exceptionally strong farming method because the overall investment is still very low.

For the tablet setup, three Eradicated Tablets are recommended. Expedition Tablets currently do not work for Grand Expeditions, so Eradicated Tablets are the preferred option. Ideally, players should look for modifiers that increase Monster Effect or the number of Rare Monsters. Item Rarity is also useful, but generally weaker than the other options. A one-mod tablet can be Divined in an attempt to obtain a second modifier, although this comes with a significant amount of RNG. Expensive three-tablet setups should mainly be reserved for high-value maps with five, six, or seven modifiers. There is little reason to spend more than roughly 10 Divines on an individual tablet.

Players with weaker builds should not feel pressured to copy the most expensive setup. Monster Effect modifiers can make Expedition considerably more difficult, so using cheaper tablets with easier modifiers is a perfectly reasonable alternative. The loot may be slightly lower, but the reduced investment and lower risk can still result in excellent profits.

Waystones are another important part of the strategy. Monster Effect should generally be the top priority, followed by Monster Rarity and Item Rarity. Many experienced players use an Omen of Chaotic Quantity before corrupting their maps. Pack Size is usually avoided unless it appears on an eight-mod map, where the overall combination of modifiers can make the map particularly valuable. The goal is not to create a perfect Waystone every time, but rather to quickly produce maps with strong reward multipliers without wasting resources.

The Atlas setup should also focus on increasing Monster Effect whenever the character can handle the additional difficulty. Players who struggle with the extra monster power can choose Rarity instead. For the Expedition environment, Desert generally provides better rewards, while Forest is a safer choice for characters that are still developing their gear. Important Expedition passives include additional Remnant modifiers and explosives, more Remnant counters, and increased quantity based on the number of Runic modifiers affecting monsters.

Master selection can further improve the strategy. Jato is a strong choice when combined with Unexpected Missions, Eastern Knowledge, Partial Translations, and Keen Appraisal. Doryani is another option, especially for weaker characters. His setup can provide additional revised Expedition opportunities and help players maintain their maps instead of repeatedly losing difficult Grand Expeditions.

When it comes to Logbooks and Expedition rumors, there is less reason to over-optimize every option now that Logbooks are relatively cheap. Instead of spending excessive time searching for the perfect rumor, players can simply run most of the Logbooks they encounter. Fallen Skies remains particularly valuable because it guarantees a Perfect Flux, while Sergeant Gear can lead to Uthred and potentially provide the quest item associated with Seeker's Call. Star Drinker is another notable option worth watching.

The most important skill in Expedition is learning how to manage Runic Remnants. Early in a Grand Expedition, players should prioritize good purple Remnants rather than worrying too much about their total number. These modifiers can then propagate into later Remnants. Toward the end of the encounter, the goal is to create as many seven-plus Remnant combinations as possible, ideally reaching eight or nine. A strong modifier placed early can continue affecting subsequent monster groups, dramatically increasing the quantity and rarity of rewards.

Opulent Remnants deserve special attention. This unique golden Remnant can significantly improve the effectiveness of the other modifiers in the Expedition. If it appears in an accessible location, rushing toward it is often worthwhile. Other powerful Remnants include Power, Death, Bond, Oath, Time, and Rebirth. Low-level Remnants with poor modifiers can usually be rerolled using Liquid Verisium, while guaranteed rewards worth at least one Divine should generally be preserved.

Expedition is still heavily influenced by RNG. A seemingly mediocre run can unexpectedly produce 10 raw Divines, while another Expedition may only provide three or four. Over the long term, an average of roughly eight to ten raw Divines per Expedition can still produce exceptional profits when combined with other valuable drops. The strategy does require practice because map layouts, explosive locations, Remnant combinations, and monster difficulty vary from run to run.

Finally, players should remember that Expedition is demanding endgame content. Strong builds can handle it much more efficiently, while weaker characters may struggle with the huge number of empowered monsters. Builds such as Flameblast or Oil Grenade Gemling can begin Expedition with less expensive gear, while many other builds may benefit from powerful upgrades such as Headhunter. If your character can survive the content consistently, learning to chain strong purple Remnants into high-value seven-plus combinations can turn Expedition into an incredible source of Path of Exile 2 Items profits with minimal investment.
